2DPolymembrane focuses on developing advanced two-dimensional membranes for efficient particle separation. By integrating functionalized graphene, the project aims to create membranes that enable selective and unidirectional ion transport, potentially revolutionizing energy applications like fuel cells and batteries.
Current separation technology is crucial for many aspects of human life and accounts for ~15% of the world’s energy consumption.
