This project introduces the 4FOLD foldable container, designed to reduce transport costs and emissions by allowing multiple containers to be stacked efficiently. It aims to revolutionize container transport by enhancing efficiency and sustainability in logistics.
Due to the global imbalance of import and export ca. € 25 billion a year is spent on repositioning empty containers, and unnecessary emissions of CO2 , NOx and PM are generated.
The technical solution proposed by Holland Container Innovation Nederlands (HCI) for this economical and environmental problem is the 4FOLD foldable container.
