This project explores the role of international non-governmental organizations in Arctic governance, particularly their participation in the Arctic Council. It examines how these organizations can maintain their observer status while engaging in environmental and economic discussions.
In international politics, the Arctic has emerged as one of the hottest geo-political arenas for international non-governmental organization (INGO) work in the 21st century.
