ActiTOX develops an innovative in vitro testing platform to evaluate the toxicity of nanoparticles and drugs. By utilizing advanced technologies like biomimetic scaffolds and microfluidics, it aims to enhance the relevance of pre-clinical studies and improve drug development processes.
Nanoparticles and new drugs are undergoing complex toxicity evaluation prior to their use in products for customers.However, the traditional pre-clinical testing protocols are delivering significant disadvantages both from ethical (animaltesting) and functional (high attrition rate in clinical testing) point of view.
