The ADAPT project focuses on improving the identification of noise sources from aircraft components by developing advanced techniques to separate acoustic signals from background noise. This aims to enhance the accuracy of noise assessments in aviation.
Airbus is currently conducting various experimental studies, dealing with installing microphones on the fuselage, on the wall of a wind tunnel test section or on specific microphone supports on the flow, in order to record the sounds emitted by each aircraft component (i.e. engine, wing etc.).
