The ADMIRE project aims to improve the design of micro-electro-mechanical systems by using advanced modeling techniques. It focuses on predicting material degradation through a multiscale approach that integrates atomistic simulations and machine learning.
Key sensors for advanced and everyday technology, such as smartphones and drones, rely on inertial micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS).
In some extreme applications they cannot yet be used, in others they cannot be substituted upon failure.
