This project investigates how the direction of attention influences emotional responses and decision-making. It explores both self-perception of attention and the perception of others' attention to understand their effects on emotional intensity and target valence.
The general research question concerns directions of attention, how it relates to perceptions of valence and emotional intensity, and its consequences for decision making.
The common idea is that people perceive direction of attention and that this affects the valence of the target and the emotional intensity experienced toward the target.
