This project aims to improve sustainable agriculture and forestry by integrating unmanned aerial vehicles with ground-based LiDAR technology. It focuses on enhancing real-time decision-making for irrigation, fertilization, and disease detection through detailed biophysical analysis of vegetation.
Currently the science of the remote sensing community does not meet the stringent requirements of sustainable agriculture and forestry practices, where quasi-real-time decision making of irrigation management, fertilizer application and disease detection is needed.
