This project investigates the origins and spread of agriculture in the western Mediterranean, particularly the Iberian Peninsula and northern Morocco. It employs various scientific techniques to analyze plant remains, genetics, and soil to understand early farming practices and their technological attributes.

Research over the past 40 years has provided an invaluable dataset on crop domestication and the spread of agriculture into Europe.
