AirBorne focuses on developing robotic aerial technologies to enhance search and rescue operations in mountainous areas. The project aims to improve the efficiency of locating individuals buried in avalanches and establish a network for better resource sharing among rescue teams.
AirBorne is a high tech social innovation targeted to Search and Rescue (S&R) organizations operating in mountains to increase safety in tourism and leisure activities key for European mountaineer communities.
The goal of AirBorne is twofold:
