This project focuses on developing advanced machine learning techniques for image classification, particularly in medical imaging. By mimicking human visual processing, it aims to improve the diagnosis of conditions like osteoarthritis and breast cancer.
The goal of this project is to develop kernel-based machine learning methods for image classification that employ similarity measures comparing images in a hierarchical fashion - as humans do, but with the accuracy of a computer.
