ALTAIR aims to create a cost-effective launch system for small satellites, enhancing access to Low-Earth Orbit. By utilizing a semi-reusable air-launch system, it seeks to provide flexible and affordable solutions for satellite operators and researchers.
ALTAIR’s strategic objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of a new cost effective and reliable space launch system for the access to Low-Earth Orbit (400-1000 km) of small satellites ranging from 50 to 150 kg.
