This project focuses on developing new antimicrobial coatings for fuel tanks to prevent microbial adhesion. The coatings will utilize a combination of biocides and nanomaterials to inhibit the growth of microorganisms while ensuring compatibility with fuel and safety regarding nano-toxicity.
The objective of the project is to do research and development in formulation of new antimicrobial nanostructured durable coatings chemically grafted onto non nutrient chromate free primer of fuel tanks.
