This research aims to understand how amyloid fibrils, associated with misfolding diseases, interact with cell membranes and induce cell death. It will explore the mechanisms behind these interactions and their implications for cellular health.
Numerous pathological conditions, designated as misfolding diseases, involve conversion of specific proteins from their native, soluble state to highly ordered filamentous polymers.
