The Yodiwo FEMP project aims to enhance facility management systems in commercial buildings by integrating advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence. This initiative seeks to optimize energy efficiency and improve real-time monitoring and management of building operations.
Commercial buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in the EU alone.
With the use of better and energy efficient Facility Management Systems there is a potential of reducing the EU’s total energy consumption up to 6% and lowering greenhouse emissions by about 5% .
Currently there is a lack of an intelligent and context-aware BMS which can monitor as well as manage the buildings efficiently in real time.
