This research aims to document and analyze writings in Old Abruzzese, a dialect at risk of extinction. By collecting spontaneous texts, the project seeks to reconstruct the linguistic profile of this variety and provide valuable data for linguistic and socio-cultural studies.
The aim of this research is to detect and study selected documents in Old Abruzzese, a southern Italian dialect spoken in a central region of Italy.
Through the study of spontaneous writings in substandard and regional Italian and Abruzzese, I wish to reconstruct the linguistic profile of this highly endangered variety and to provide the linguistic community with a corpus of novel data which will enrich the European linguistic descriptive scenario.
