The ANFIBIO project seeks to improve the detection of disease biomarkers in bodily fluids using surface enhanced Raman scattering technology. It focuses on developing a cost-effective and sensitive method for identifying cancer and viral biomarkers, aiming to facilitate personalized medicine.
The detection of circulating disease biomarkers in bodily fluids, also known as liquid biopsy, has taken important strides toward the implementation of personalized medicine.
However, it still suffers from low sensitivity and high costs, which render its clinical implementation not practical or affordable.
