AngioResist PoC aims to address the challenge of resistance to anti-angiogenic cancer therapies by developing a novel biomarker and a new drug. The project focuses on identifying which patients may benefit from these targeted treatments, ultimately improving cancer care for those with resistant tumors.
Many anti-angiogenic drugs are clinically used in several types of cancer to block angiogenesis, impair tumor growth, progression and dissemination.
Nevertheless, clinical trials report emergence of resistance to treatment and a failure in long-lasting effects of these therapies.
