Aortyx is developing a flexible vascular graft designed to treat aortic dissection through minimally invasive procedures. This innovative patch promotes natural healing and avoids the complications associated with traditional surgical methods.
Aortic Dissection is a major disease affecting 3-12/100.000 patients/year.
Global mortality rates are upto 40% and yet symptoms are hard to diagnose, with today´s treatments not specifically designed for the condition resulting in a high tendency to fail.Aortyx wants to change that.
