The APACE project aims to create a bio-inspired laser that harnesses sunlight for energy production. By utilizing engineered photosynthetic complexes, it seeks to enhance energy efficiency for applications in space and potentially on Earth.
Creating new technologies towards long-term in space self-sustainability is essential to solve the problem of the increasing energy demand both in space and on Earth.
