This project aims to uncover the genomic diversity of great apes by analyzing ancient and contemporary samples. It seeks to understand the evolutionary history and introgression events that have shaped their genomes, providing insights into both ape and human evolution.
In our quest to fully understand the processes that shape the genomic variation of species, describing variation of the past is a fundamental objective.
