The APOLLO project investigates the integration of wireless power transfer and simultaneous wireless information and power transfer technologies into future communication systems. It aims to develop new network architectures and mechanisms for efficient energy and data transmission.
Wireless power transfer (WPT), pioneered by Tesla, is an idea at least as old as radio communications.
