The ARACHNID project develops an advanced platform for studying cancer metastasis using a multi-organ on-a-chip system. This technology aims to enhance understanding of tumor spread, particularly in pediatric cancers, and facilitate the development of more effective treatments.
Despite the improvements in cancer treatments, diagnostic tools and prevention/early detection strategies, cancer is still a major public health burden as one of the 6 leading causes of death worldwide.
