This project investigates 16th and 17th century majolica pottery from Central America and the Southern United States to understand the influence of European pottery technology. Through various scientific analyses, it aims to assess the cultural impact of European trade on local societies by examining these artifacts.
The project presented here is focused on the technological characterization of 16th and 17th century majolica colonial pottery from Central America and Southern United States, as a traceable symbol of European countries abroad.
