This research focuses on developing magnesium-ion batteries as a sustainable alternative to lithium-ion batteries. It investigates the mechanisms of ion insertion and extraction at electrode interfaces to enhance battery performance for larger energy storage applications.
Li-ion batteries (LIBs) have enabled the portable device revolution of the last two decades, and have undoubtedly had a dramatic societal impact, with rechargeable electronic devices now ubiquitous.
