This project focuses on understanding air-sea interactions during storms and hurricanes to improve forecasting accuracy. By uniting multiple research teams, it aims to develop new satellite-based technologies for monitoring extreme wind conditions over the ocean.
Storms and hurricanes are a major natural hazard at international scales and significant risk to populations and offshore industry.
