This project focuses on developing a novel technique for manipulating individual atoms in materials using advanced electron microscopy. It aims to create atomically precise structures, enhancing the capabilities of nanotechnology for applications in materials science.
Despite more than fifty years of scientific progress since Richard Feynman's 1959 vision for nanotechnology, there is only one way to manipulate individual atoms in materials: scanning tunneling microscopy.
