AURORA develops advanced metrics to evaluate the efficiency of air traffic management systems, focusing on fuel consumption and cost efficiency. It aims to create a real-time performance monitoring framework that allows airspace users to actively engage in improving operational efficiency.
This project will propose advanced metrics to assess the operational efficiency of the ATM system (challenge of the topic ER-11-2015).
These new metrics will be developed with the aim of encapsulating the airspace users’ operational objectives, considering fuel consumption, schedule adherence and cost efficiency of the flights.
