AutoSpar aims to develop an automated harvesting system for asparagus, addressing industry demands for efficient and gentle harvesting methods. The project will focus on creating a detection system, cutting tools, and a motion-controlled mechanism for continuous harvesting.
There is considerable demand from industry – both from the asparagus industry and the food retail trade – for the development of new and innovative solutions allowing a gentle, automatic harvesting of asparagus.
To meet the requirements, the aim of AutoSpar is the development of a continuous, fully automatic harvesting system for white and violet asparagus.
