The BEACON project aims to integrate analog communications into modern wireless networks to address energy and latency challenges in the Internet of Everything. By developing a hybrid digital-analog framework, the project seeks to enhance communication efficiency for applications like smart homes and tele-robotics.
The objective of the BEACON project is to (re-)introduce analog communications into the design of modern wireless networks.
We argue that the extreme energy and latency constraints imposed by the emerging Internet of Everything (IoE) paradigm can only be met within a hybrid digital-analog communications framework.
