This project aims to develop a novel gene therapy approach for Alzheimer's disease by targeting brain endothelial cells to enhance the clearance of Amyloid-β. Utilizing super-selective nanocarriers, the therapy seeks to improve treatment efficacy and potentially halt disease progression in patients.
Alzheimer disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia (60-80% of cases) with a prevalence near 50 million people.
