The BiAR project aims to enhance the energy efficiency of biomass by developing a chemical process that significantly reduces ash content in lignocellulosic materials. This process allows for better utilization of waste materials, increasing their value as fuel and supporting the biomass industry.
Bioenergy is by far the leading renewable energy source in Europe, accounting for 61.2% of all renewable energy sources consumed.
