This research examines bilingual language control, specifically the role of inhibition in managing language processing. Through a series of experiments, it aims to determine whether inhibition affects language production and comprehension, contributing to a better understanding of bilingualism.
A multitude of models have proposed different mechanisms underlying bilingual language control, a process that restricts bilingual language processing to the target language.
Many, but not all, of these models assume that inhibition plays an integral role during bilingual language control.
