The project on big data policing aims to create a comprehensive model that integrates various disciplines to enhance crime prediction and prevention. By addressing existing research gaps, it seeks to develop evidence-based practices that improve the effectiveness and ethical considerations of policing strategies.
Big data policing is an innovative strategy that uses historical data to forecast when and where there is a high risk of new crime events in order to use police resources more efficiently and proactively, and ultimately reduce crime rates.
