The BIO4EEB project aims to enhance energy efficiency in buildings by developing bio-based insulation materials. By utilizing sustainable resources, the project seeks to meet growing market demands while significantly reducing carbon emissions in the construction sector.
Buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in the EU.
Deep Renovation of existing old buildings has the potential to lead to significant energy savings and a tremendous carbon footprint shrinkage.
