BIOENERGY focuses on developing efficient biofuel cells by understanding and optimizing electro-conducting nanoarchitectures. The project aims to create stable bioelectrocatalytic structures that can be utilized in various applications, including potentially implantable devices.
The proposed ITN BIOENERGY deals with the understanding of experimental limits and fundamental principles for exploiting and developing electro-conducting nanoarchitectures to assemble highly efficient bioelectrocatalytic structures as a basis for efficient and stable biofuel cells.
Based on that fundamental understanding, the main technological objective of BIOENERGY is to develop efficient and stable biofuel cells including potentially implantable biodevices.
