This project explores the development of biolasers, which are lasers created from living cells genetically modified to produce fluorescent proteins. The aim is to enhance the efficiency of these lasers and investigate their potential for natural lasing within living organisms.
Biological structures with optical functionality have fascinated mankind for generations.
