This project aims to develop a rapid and efficient biosensor system for detecting Listeria monocytogenes in food production environments. By improving sampling techniques and detection methods, it seeks to enhance food safety and reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.
Pathogenic bacteria are the origin of 90% of reported food-borne illnesses.
Listeria monocytogenes is one of the most important, having “zero tolerance” in ready-to-eat and dairy foods.
