This project focuses on creating bio-hybrid machines that integrate living cell actuators with artificial materials. It aims to develop a self-monitoring manufacturing pipeline to enhance the design and production of these machines, particularly for medical applications like drug delivery through catheters.
Bio-hybrid machines (BHMs) combine living cell actuators with artificial materials in order to achieve greater autonomy, flexibility, and energy efficiency compared to standard robots.
