BIOMEM aims to create innovative membranes that selectively extract compounds from water using biological transport proteins. This technology has applications in both industrial processes and environmental cleanup, offering a more energy-efficient solution for separating specific molecules.
The ability to selectively extract compounds from waters will transform a multitude of applications, ranging from high-value compound isolation in industrial bioprocesses to removal of pollutants from the environment.
