BIOMET4D aims to develop innovative shape-morphing implants that facilitate less invasive reconstructive surgeries. These implants will expand tissue and degrade while promoting regeneration, potentially transforming treatment approaches for conditions like craniosynostosis and skin expansion.
Reconstructive surgeries frequently require multiple, often complex, procedures at high social and economic costs.
