The BioPSy project focuses on preventing seabird bycatch in fisheries by developing effective measures based on biologging data. It aims to enhance conservation efforts through stakeholder engagement and the application of innovative tracking techniques.
As the global footprint of fisheries increases to match market demands, interactions between seabirds and vessels become more frequent leading to scavenging opportunities for many species, but also increase bycatch risk.
