This project aims to develop a new transdermal drug delivery system using biocompatible natural polymers. The innovative design focuses on reducing skin irritation and improving patient compliance with a system that allows easy removal after use.
Current transdermal drug delivery relies primarily upon occlusive patches, and is now considered to be a mature technology.
This method is capable of delivering drugs, reducing side effects of oral administration and poor compliance due to the need for frequent administration.
