This project focuses on improving the treatment of mine wastewater to reduce its environmental impact. It employs microbiological and engineering techniques to optimize bioreactors for treating acid mine drainage and nitrogen-rich waters, enhancing monitoring and sustainability.
The overarching objective is improved treatment of mine effluent, thereby mitigating its impact on ecosystems of recipient waters and surrounding environments.
