The BirdStrike project is focused on analyzing the impact of bird strikes on composite materials used in aircraft wings. It aims to develop testing methods and predictive tools to assess damage from bird impacts on leading edge panels.
The BirdStrike project aims to establish a validated bird strike analysis capability, which enables the SFWA partners to simulate bird impact on a CFRP leading edge for a NLF wing.
