This project aims to enhance understanding of how binary black holes form and merge in dense stellar environments. By developing a new numerical framework, it will analyze gravitational wave signals to provide insights into the origins of these astronomical phenomena.
The recent pioneering observations of gravitational waves (GWs) from merging black holes (BHs) by LIGO/Virgo have already led to new remarkable insight:
