The Bir Al-Nas project aims to develop sustainable groundwater management practices in Tunisia's Cap Bon Peninsula. It focuses on integrating scientific and social analyses to address water scarcity and promote community involvement in resource management.
Groundwater resources represent the largest volume of all unfrozen fresh water on Earth.
However the knowledge and understanding of this precious resource is very little, if compared to surface water, especially to the general public and policy makers.
