This project aims to develop a novel neuroimaging technique to visualize large brain tissue volumes at the nanometer scale, overcoming current limitations in imaging neural circuits. By utilizing X-ray holographic nano-tomography, it seeks to create detailed maps of brain connectivity for advancements in neuroscience.
The overarching goal of this project is to establish a novel technique for neuroimaging to probe large tissue volumes at the nanometre scale.
Currently only electron microscopes are capable of generating data with sufficient resolving power for comprehensive exploration of the neural circuits that underlie brain function.
