BTCure focuses on understanding the early processes in rheumatoid arthritis and developing animal models that reflect human disease subsets. The project aims to facilitate the creation of targeted therapies to prevent irreversible damage in patients.
BTCure is based on the recognition that RA is a heterogeneous disease where a major subset involves adaptive immunity, and that animal models have to develop the line with the different subsets of the human diseases in order to be optimally used for drug discovery and drug evaluation.
