This project explores the dynamics of East Asian Buddhism in South Africa, focusing on its hybridization and cultural impact post-apartheid. It employs interdisciplinary research methods to analyze how Buddhism interacts with local identities and spiritualities.
Explorations of Buddhism in Africa are very few and have been so far conducted at the introductory level.
